May 23, 2013: SES and ASQ Present an Evening Seminar at the Sheraton

Thursday May 23rd 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sheraton Cavalier Hotel Saskatoon SK

There will be a meal at 6:00 PM followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM by Dr Ramiro Villeda.

"Success in a Turbulent World = Innovation + Good Timing"

A single-minded focus on innovation so common over the past decade is not only misplaced but often dangerous to the extent that it distracts people from other ways to create value in a turbulent environment. Furthermore, a narrow focus on innovation also underestimates the importance of the external context.

Good timing is not the same thing as being first. Too early to seize an opportunity can be as bad as too late.

What does it take to develop a sense for Good Timing? It takes at least three elements:

1) Willingness to visualize (and accept) the future,

2) RUSH (Real-time, Unfiltered, Shared and Holistic) data, and

3) A global mindset.

In this presentation we’ll discuss how several organizations have developed and sustained their sense for Good Timing.

Tickets: A limited number at $10 for members of SES or ASQ Saskatchewan. Non-members $25.   Tickets must be reserved by Friday May 17th by emailing vicepresident@saskatoonengineers.com
